Careers / WordPress Developer

WordPress Developer

Can you take a WordPress requirement and turn it into a finished result? We're looking for developers who are technically capable, resourceful, and comfortable working independently — problem-solvers, not button-pushers. This is for people who do more than install a theme and change some text.

How we work Basecamp + small PODs

What you'll build

Work spans new builds, existing sites, integrations, plugins, forms, troubleshooting, and ongoing improvements.

  • WordPress development across themes, blocks, and site administration
  • Plugins, forms, APIs, and third-party integrations
  • Troubleshoot performance, responsive issues, and broken workflows
  • Ship clean, maintainable changes without leaving landmines
  • Document setup so clients and teammates can keep moving
  • Partner with content and ops people when the work crosses roles
  • Take ownership from task intake to working delivery

What we look for

We want developers who investigate problems, make sound decisions, and deliver without constant supervision.

  • Solid WordPress experience plus HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
  • Comfort with Gutenberg/blocks, plugins, themes, and responsive builds
  • Experience with custom development, APIs, integrations, or automation is a plus
  • Resourceful problem-solver who finishes what they start
  • Clear written English and good debugging instincts
  • Comfortable reading docs and vendor APIs before asking for help

How we work

You join a small POD with clear ownership — not a giant org chart. Work stays visible in Basecamp, and delivery beats theater.

Small PODs

Technical, creative, and ops skills sit together around one outcome.

Async-first

Write it down in Basecamp. Updates are clear without endless meetings.

Ship, then improve

Working systems first. Polish and documentation follow close behind.
