Software Developer (Junior)

Looking for a place to prove what you can build? We're expanding development capacity for junior and entry-level developers. We value resourcefulness over hand-holding — if you can take a technical objective, investigate it, and move toward a solution, we want to hear from you.

How we work Basecamp + small PODs

What you'll work on

You get handed a problem, research it, experiment, and come back with something that works.

  • Contribute to websites, APIs, integrations, automation, and AI-related projects
  • Investigate technical objectives and move toward working solutions
  • Communicate progress clearly and take responsibility for finishing work
  • Learn new technologies quickly as project needs evolve
  • Write readable code and leave enough notes for the next person
  • Debug patiently — logs, docs, and small experiments before big rewrites
  • Pair with PMs and senior builders inside a POD when the work needs it

What helps you stand out

Professional experience helps but isn't required for every candidate. Demonstrable ability matters.

  • Practical knowledge in web development, APIs, WordPress, JS/TS, PHP, Python, C#/.NET, databases, or AI/automation
  • Can solve problems independently and research technical issues
  • Have built actual projects (portfolio, GitHub, or work samples are a plus)
  • Clear communication and ownership of outcomes
  • Comfortable asking focused questions after you've tried first
  • Hungry to improve — not waiting for a perfect ticket before starting

How we work

You join a small POD with clear ownership — not a giant org chart. Work stays visible in Basecamp, and delivery beats theater.

Small PODs

Technical, creative, and ops skills sit together around one outcome.

Async-first

Write it down in Basecamp. Updates are clear without endless meetings.

Ship, then improve

Working systems first. Polish and documentation follow close behind.
