STRATUSstaff is looking for engineers who want to build with AI for real businesses — not collect prompts. Connect models to systems, ship working automations, and grow into owning processes and leading technical delivery inside a POD.
What you could work on
Depending on your skills and the projects available, your work could include:
- Connecting LLMs and AI APIs to CRMs and internal tools
- Workflows with webhooks, queues, and retries
- Data pipelines and automated actions
- Agents and assistants that do real work
- Monitoring so failures are visible early
- Documentation so others can run what you built
- Partnering with PMs and operators in a POD
- Improving how the team approaches automation

STRATUSstaff is built around small teams of three that we call PODS. Three people should operate as a team, share information, support each other, and collectively take responsibility for results. That means we care about how you work as much as the individual tasks you complete.

Who we're looking for
Knowing AI vocabulary is not enough. Software fundamentals (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar), APIs, and the ability to debug messy integrations matter. You do not need every tool on day one — you need to make systems work.
- Strong written English and clear professional communication
- Previous professional work experience
- Reliable remote setup and solid computer / research skills
- Attention to detail and personal accountability
- Ability to work independently and inside a small POD
- Willingness to learn tools you do not already know
- Hands-on with REST APIs, webhooks, or workflow automation
- Experience wiring AI/LLM APIs into real products is valuable
- Clear documentation habits and self-directed problem-solving
The career opportunity
Someone might begin shipping focused automations. Then own a client workflow end to end. Then set standards for how the POD builds AI systems. Then lead technical direction or mentor others. Initiative and reliability open the door — not title theater.
